Photographer, Seth London introduces OBVIOUS readers to New Face model, Barrett Blizzard to the world. Barrett talks how he started his modeling career and challenges being a model.

Alva Page Development
Height

About You?
I was born and raised in Hampton, VA where I currently reside. I graduated from North Carolina A&T with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science and Fitness Management. I love basketball and just being active in general. If anyone wants to be my best friend, just cook some spaghetti for me and give me a bag of Trolli Eggs. If you don’t know what Trolli Eggs are, you’re missing out!
What inspired you to become a model?
My mother who used to model when she was my age inspired me. I also love fashion. Being that fashion is an art form, I am always thrilled when I see myself in a photograph knowing that I was apart of a work of art.
How long have you been a model?
I have been modeling for three for years now, and I love it.
Name one thing you wish you could change and why.
There is nothing in life that I would ever change whether it’s something physical or my past. The decisions that I made and the things that I’ve gone through shaped me to be the person I am today.
What do you find difficult in the model industry?
The most difficult thing for me is having patience and reminding myself that success won’t happen overnight.
What are some challenges for you being a model?
My biggest problem with being a model is residing in a state (Virginia) that people overlook when it comes to fashion. I inspire to stay on my path and push through.
What do you see yourself doing in the next five years?
I see myself racking up campaigns and having a successful acting career. By then, I would like to have started a foundation for the less fortunate.
What words of advice would you give to up-and-coming models?
Be patient. Everyone wants to be with top agencies, be on magazine covers, etc. But patience is a virtue for a reason.
